COLORADO COUNTY, TEXAS (May 3, 2024) – Pulice Construction, Inc. was awarded the IH-10 Colorado County Project.

The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) Yoakum district awarded the project to Pulice to reconstruct and widen the existing I-10 roadway from FM 2434 to US 90 (Alleyton Road South), in Colorado County, Texas. The total length of the project is six miles and bypasses the city of Columbus in Texas. The existing roadway consists of a four-lane facility with two-lane, two-way frontage roads. The median is a flush grassy median with a cable barrier system.

The proposed improvements include widening from four to six main lanes that would consist of three 12-foot main lanes in each direction with 12-foot outside and inside shoulders. Additionally, we will convert two-lane, two-way frontage roads to two-lane, one-way frontage roads and replace the existing grassy and cable divider with single slope concrete barrier median divider. Finally, we will construct a new bridge on new alignment over the Colorado River, with an additional 28 bridges for relief and overpass.

We are looking forward to partnering with TxDOT on another successful project. Over the years, we have collaborated on numerous projects, achieving remarkable results. As we look to the future, we are eager to embark on new endeavors with TxDOT. Pulice is confident that our joint efforts will lead to continued success and innovation in infrastructure development of the state of Texas.
